News

  • 26 Jan: We have a new dog called Ruby.
  • 12 Jan: We have a new dog called Luci.
  • 10 Jan: Click here for a success story for Pepper (formerly Fleur).
  • 2 Dec: We were not prepared for the overwhelming response to our Stafford Walk on Sunday 20th November to celebrate National Staffordshire Bull Terrier Day. 36 dogs turned up and many more people. We had four puppies one of them deaf, several Staffie crosses, two Collies and a Yorkshire Terrier! Most people were local but some travelled quite a distance especially Gareth and Monty coming all the way from Wiltshire. Sam with Roxy and her friend with Saffy and Jon with Sky lead the field. All owners behaved responsibly and we enjoyed an hours stroll along the river creating an impressive sight. Everyone was asking when the next one was and a fantastic £158.50 was raised for funds.

  • 16 Nov: Sunday 27th November 'Living With Wolves' Dog behaviour and Training clinic 10am/3pm Pets At Home Godalming. Donations to Pets At Home 'Support Adoption Scheme' and Guildford & District Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue.

Contact David on 07971627146 to book your place.

We will also have a stall at Bullie Rescue's Christmas Fundraiser. Sunday 4th December from 10am at Milford Village Hall, near Godalming.
  • 16 Nov: We have taken in three new dogs in the past month despite still having our 'stickers'. We also have several dogs on our website that remain in their own homes but are urgent and whom we are paying for vaccinations, chipping and neutering. This has put us under considerable strain both with time and space but especially financially. Please can you support us with your donations both large and small so we can continue to help these dogs.

We also need foster / permanent homes for all of these dogs. Fleur remains urgent for a foster or permanent home (Please note we have an updated description for her).

Tara is 10 year old she is in kennels and has an ear infection desperately needs a foster home.

Chance is 1 year old (approx)

Smudge is now in long term foster but still costing us money to feed etc

Sandy and Sapphire (both been with us over a year need homes of their own ASAP)

Please, please help in any way you can...our only funding is from public donations our resources are getting very low.

  • 27 Oct: We had a fantastic 4 days at Pets at Home for their support adoption week. We gave out information and publicised National SBT Day and our Stafford Walk on 20th November. David and Helen (dog behaviourists from 'Living With Wolves,' were on hand to give out advice and work with our rescues.

On Sunday we were joined by SOS Dog Rescue and many of our owners brought their dogs back to see us. We also met 3 Stafford puppies. We raised £434 for Support Adoption and they will in turn give us £100 for each day we were there. It was a great success.

  • 28 July: Thanks to Alan and Kathy for their support at Epsom Canine Rescue's show on 18th July at Priory Park Reigate. We endured horrendous weather with Gazebos taking off and damaging helpers cars (not ours which was expertly constructed by Alan) and everything getting soaked and disintegrating. In the end it was a good day with Jade, Angel and Sandy taking part in the parade of rescue dogs and the agility course. We raised £47 with the tombola and kathy even made some delicious cup cakes.
